Project Managers? Serve on the A&D SIG Board!

We are only as good as our members and our leadership. We have a vision, but we need members who share our vision to help us.

Volunteering requires a commitment of time and effort, but in addition to great personal satisfaction, volunteering also provides a great way for PMPs to maintain their certification.

When Your Life Flashes Before Your Eyes, What Will You See?

I was at a Toastmasters meeting and this was one of the Table Topic questions. I thought it was an extremely provocative question. If your life flashed before your eyes, what will you see? Will it amount to a commercial or a movie? Hopefully, you want a movie.

Consider being a volunteer for the A&D SIG. As a volunteer that movie could consist of how you played an instrumental role in the development and expansion of the project management profession as part of an internationally recognized organization. Whether you want to take a leadership role or take a small, but equally important role behind the scenes, you will enjoy tremendous satisfaction in knowing that you are making a difference in a respected profession. We need your help.
When your life flashes before your eyes, will it add up to a two-minute
commercial or a full-length feature presentation?

The A&D SIG is in a strong “organizational building” phase. If you are interested in volunteering to facilitate your career growth, but don’t feel you are ready to fill the elected positions defined above, consider volunteering for a Ambassador, Deputy, or Project Manager one-year BoD appointment. This will get you acquainted with being involved in A&D SIG activities and prepare you for a higher level of involvement as an elected BoD member. The BoD has approved some new project charters which establish the need for Project Managers. If interested in any of the posted BoD positions defined above or as a Project Manager, contact me for more information.

Volunteer and Action!
